When a girl tries to get rid of the excess hair on her legs and she decides, after many days of research, that this hair needs to get off using an epilator, this is a big moment for her. Nothing she reads or hears can prepare her for this kind of situation. No matter how many people tell you their stories and try to describe their sensations, the feeling you have when you use an epilator for the first time is unique and personal. This is why I searched a lot and raised money for several months before buying one. The best choice on the market, when I was in high school, and the newest device designed for this purpose was the Braun Silk Epil.
I gazed at it in the supermarket for weeks before buying it, not sure if I should get it, but I couldn’t bear the thought of starting my life as a young teenager with just anything. I have to admit that the first time I used it I spent several hours peeling every single hair from my legs and it did hurt. Even the SoftLift system that helped with raising the hair or the massaging rollers that stimulate the skin to ease the epilation sensation, did not make it a pleasant experience, but I had to do it. After this first experience, I was very much surprised to see that the next ones were almost painless. The rollers were also very helpful for places were the skin was not so stretched, like armpit or the inguinal area.
I have to admit that I was and still am very proud of this product since it hasn’t failed me yet and, I believe, more than ten years have passed since I bought it. Different models have come and went, but mine has always provided me with what I needed. Sometimes I see a new design that I would very much love to buy, but I can’t betray mine since it is so resilient. After all these years I must say that I got somewhat attached to it and I take especially good care of it. I always clean it after using it and I never wet it or use grease on it. I have to agree that it has been a very good choice and still offers a good competition to its newer colleagues on the market.
