TV Review: Sony Bravia a unique watching experience

There are remarkably few things, which give you, company when you are alone or when you need someone to be with you. Television is a brilliant invention in this regard, and it not only entertains you, but also tries to give you such an atmosphere that someone is there to share your company. In this regard, I love my Sony Bravia LCD TV, which has such an excellent picture and sound quality that sometimes you feel that the person seen in the TV is standing next to you.

We bought Sony Bravia LCD TV last year and thoroughly carried away by the stunning picture and sound quality. Although it has so many unique features which are yet to be tried, but we are happy with its general features which most of the TV have.

But I would like to share some of its unique features, like any USB device can be plugged to it through the USB cable. Very often we enjoy watching family photographs on its wide LCD screen. The best feature of this TV is using BRAVIA sync with control for HDMI; this allows the TV to communicate together with the connected equipment having compatibility with the HDMI function. So, when we change the TV to the standby mode the connected equipment also turns off. This is truly impressive.

The screen has got two modes wide mode which enlarges the central portion of the picture and apart from the normal mode the other is the zoom mode which displays the cinemascope broadcasts in the correct proportions.

Its intelligent picture plus feature allows improving the picture while viewing, like picture optimization has two options “crisp” for the sharper image with more visible noise and the “smooth” for a softer image with less visible noise.

Its sound features are also unique and soothe to our ears; the dynamic mode is recommended for home entertainment and enhances treble and bass. The standard mode gives standard sound and clear voice mode is used when the voice is not clear or meek. It has also an excellent volume option which minimizes the difference in volume levels between programs and advertisements as ads tend to be louder than the programs.

It has magnificent sound surround system and differs by the “Scene select” settings; its “On” mode provides sound from two internal speakers. “Stimulated Stereo” gives a surround like effect to mono programs, and “Cinema” surround effects give the sound of high grade audio system found in movie theatres.

The other features are “parental lock”, “power saves”, “idle TV standby” and many more. So, watching Sony Bravia LCD TV is quite a unique experience which me and my family enjoyed immensely much.
