I watched this for the first time tonight. The second one is out and I wanted to see the first one first. It's better than I thought it would be. I don't really get into the comic hero movies. But this one is really good. It stars Robert Downey,Jr and Jeff Bridges. Robert Downey is back in the second version.
He had gotten kidnapped and suffered a severe heart injury from a booby trap. And one of his fellow prisoners designed a chest shield that they installed that would keep the shrapnel from entering his heart and killing him. He had to design a costume to be able to get out alive. It worked.
He designed a better suit when he got back home. It fit him a lot better. And worked better. His boss man went against him. He had help from his secretary and a military man he had met who was a marine fighter pilot James Rhodes played by Terrence Howard. This was a really good movie. Now I want to see the other part.
